Every Mom’s Dilemma: “Is My Baby Eating Enough?”
Let’s be honest — no matter how much we feed, we still wonder:
“Is this enough?” “Why is my baby not chubby like others?”
We scroll Instagram, compare with neighbors, and suddenly panic — “Is my baby underweight?”
That’s motherhood. Confusing, caring, chaotic — and full of love.
At Chukkoo.in, we understand that emotion. That’s why we’ve created a guide to help you confidently feed your baby, especially with focus on Kerala-based nutrition and Indian organic baby foods.
0–3 Months: Keep It Simple, Keep It Safe
Breast milk is the best. If unavailable, formula milk under doctor supervision is recommended. No solid foods at this stage. Your baby’s gut is still developing.
4–6 Months: Gentle Start to Solids
You can start solid food along with breast milk, but only one at a time. Always give new foods in the morning and watch for reactions (rashes, vomiting, loose motions).
Try: Ragi Porridge (Kurukk)
One of the best healthy foods for babies and ideal for weight gain.
Why Ragi?
- Full of calcium, iron, and fiber
- Boosts immunity
- Easy to digest
- Helps with baby weight gain naturally
Ragi Kurukk Recipe:
- 3 tsp ragi powder
- Mix with water + boil to porridge
- Add natural sweetener like panam kalkkandam or karipetti
- Feed after a 2-hour breastfeeding gap
